About Navarro River Music

NavarroRiverMusic.com is the website of Marcia Sloane, cellist, teacher, improviser, and arranger/composer. In 1983 she co-founded Symphony of the Redwoods on the Mendocino Coast in northern California, and for 40 years she has performed in a variety of musical genres and taught cellists and string players of all ages. Her appreciation and study of north Indian classical music was the inspiration for incorporating drones into her practice, performance, and teaching.
